The collaboration between Forever Plants, the pot plant company based in Honselersdijk, and Divine Flowers, the cut flower company based in Hoek van Holland (formerly Anjerkwekerij Nieuwland), dates back to 2020, when the joint pot plant company Forever Plants by Divine was founded in ‘s-Gravenzande. With this, both ornamental horticulture companies aimed to strengthen their existing market position and commercial strategy. Initially, the collaboration was limited to the joint pot plant company, where tropical green plants in the XL category are grown, but over time it developed in other areas as well. For instance, themes such as cultivation, energy and sustainability have been approached from a shared perspective for quite some time, and there is a fruitful cross-pollination of expertise and capacity between the companies. These positive experiences, together with the increasing complexity of the issues on all sorts of topics that entrepreneurs in the ornamental horticulture sector have to deal with, led the management of both companies to decide to take the collaboration to the next level and merge the three companies. On 9 October, the shares of the ornamental horticulture companies Forever Plants, Divine Flowers and Forever Plants by Divine were brought together in the holding company Green Growers Group BV. The entrepreneurs involved are highly motivated to continue building together on a future-proof company, in which sustainability and a healthy continuity perspective for entrepreneurs and stakeholders are central.
